About Us
The primary goal of The AFS UIUC Student Subunit is to provide educational opportunities related to fisheries-aquatic science and management. The Subunit achieves this goal through the following objectives: • Provide a source of expertise for those seeking information on resources to fisheries and aquatic sciences. • Promote scientific management of fisheries and aquatic resources through informational and educational programs. • Provide an opportunity for members to gain hands on experience in fisheries management or aquatic science fields. • Promote greater professionalism and involvement by all persons associated with the Student Subunit. • Provide opportunities to network with professionals in natural resources as well as professors and peers.
