Abol-Tabol, in collaboration with the East Central Illinois Bengali Association (ECIBA), warmly invites you and your family to celebrate Durga Puja 2025 with us from October 3rd to October 5th at the Channing Murray Foundation (1209 W Oregon St, Urbana, IL 61801). It’s that time of the year when we come together to celebrate one of the most cherished festivals, and we hope to see you all there!
Event Schedule and Registration:
Please refer to the attached flyer for details on the event schedule and registration process. To ensure your participation, kindly follow these steps:

durgapuja . Early Registration ends on 26th September!! - Payment: Admission to the puja premises is free (except on Saturday, unless registered for a meal); however, meals and cultural activities are on RSVP/payment basis.

Important Note: Due to rising costs of goods and infrastructure, we will not be able to manage this year’s Sarbojanin Sharodiya Durgotsav expenses at the same level as last year’s. We humbly ask for your understanding and generous support.
At the same time, ONLY 1st year PhD/Undergraduate/Masters students who joined UIUC in 2025 may continue to pay at last year's rate if they wish to register for a meal, i.e., $50 for all 4 meals, OR Friday dinner $15, Saturday lunch $15, Saturday dinner $15 and Sunday lunch $20. This information is not reflected in the attached flyer, so kindly help share this update with newcomers.
Volunteering Opportunities:
We also need volunteers for various aspects of puja planning and execution such as puja prep, cooking, decoration, stage setup, and more. If you’re interested in volunteering, please sign up here: Volunteer form .
Cultural Performances and Participation:
As part of our celebrations, we will be hosting a variety of cultural performances throughout the weekend. We invite you to participate by signing up via this Performances form .
- Performance Guidelines:
- Individual performances: 4–5 minutes
- Group performances: 7–8 minutes
- One performance per person/group will be prioritized; additional slots based on availability.
