About Us
Global Empowerment for Women’s Medical Support UIUC serves as a network of outreach to underfunded clinics in developing countries to help them cover the expenses of their daily operations, from laboratory equipment to maintenance costs. By running fundraising events on campus, GEMS aims to expand access to medical care in low- and middle-income countries, particularly emphasizing female and maternal healthcare.
