About Us

The mission of the Hispanic Student Nursing Association (HSNA) is to recruit, mentor, and support current and prospective University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing students on the Urbana regional campus. HSNA is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, professionally, and socially. HSNA strives to foster cultural sensitivity within the nursing student body and the wider community by promoting awareness and understanding of Hispanic culture. HSNA will actively seek opportunities to collaborate with other professional nursing and student organizations on campus. Additionally, HSNA is dedicated to promoting professionalism, academic excellence, and a strong sense of community among its members, while providing resources and mentorship to help students succeed.
