Illinois Biodiesel Initiative serves to improve on-campus sustainability and provide professional development and industry/pilot plant experience to interested students in related fields including chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, agriculture, business, etc. The organization accomplishes this via production of biodiesel fuel from waste vegetable oil (UVO).
