As defined by the national board, Project Taqwa’s primary mission is to address the mental health needs of Muslims in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner. Project Taqwa UIUC aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness in the Muslim community at UIUC by providing high-quality educational events, resource compilation, media production, and community support efforts.
