About Us
SKATE for Girls Illinois serves as a platform to empower young women through the integration of figure skating and STEM education, with a focus on mathematics. Our mission is to provide students with the opportunity to develop both athletic and academic skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. We run weekly programs that include skating lessons, tutoring sessions, and mentoring opportunities for middle school students. We aim to inspire confidence, foster leadership, and promote the pursuit of STEM fields among girls on campus and in the community. By offering mentorship, tutoring, and skating workshops, SKATE for Girls Illinois seeks to build a community where students can excel both on the ice and in the classroom.
