Welcome to the Social Justice Initiative, and welcome back to our returning members! We’re so excited to have you with us this semester and grateful to be growing alongside such a thoughtful, passionate community.
As we begin the term together, we wanted to take a moment to share our latest issue of the SJI newsletter, Belonging Across Borders: Understanding Immigration Today, as a way to reflect on the conversations and work that have shaped our community so far. This issue features student voices, artwork, and reflections centered around immigration and belonging, offering a snapshot of what SJI stands for and the kinds of dialogue we hope to foster.
Whether you’re new to SJI or have been involved before, we hope this newsletter gives you a sense of the many ways students engage with our work, through writing, art, storytelling, organizing, and collective learning.
