About Us

Hip-Hop Collective at UIUC serves as the premier collaborative space for students interested in the Performing Arts, Hip-Hop music, and Hip-Hop Culture. This includes (but is not limited to): rappers, singers, producers, instrumentalists, sound-engineers, composers, arrangers, dancers, videographers, photographers, DJs, graffiti artists, graphic artists, etc. Our purpose is to create and nurture collaborative recording projects, provide resources for recordings, rehearsals, feedback, and organize performance opportunities for students and UIUC faculty and staff interested in all things hip-hop. We also educate the student and broader Champaign-Urbana community through workshops and masterclasses in music production, live performance, songwriting, graffiti, and music entrepreneurship.
