About Us
The Society for Engineering Mechanics (SEM) provides a community for UIUC students majoring in Engineering Mechanics (EM) or pursuing graduate degrees in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (TAM). Members collaborate and build projects to gain design experience and attend events to form and develop social, departmental, and professional ties. SEM collaborates with faculty to improve TAM courses and hosts social events for students and faculty to get to know each other.
