The Illinois Cross Country Club was created as a competitive group of athletes that aim to be the top cross country club in the nation. Project Level the Field: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Chapter serves as a student-led nonprofit organization providing students (mentees), mostly high school students, with high-quality and personable college application resources by our members (mentors). The pillars we follow are knowledge, mentorship, and accessibility. Level the Field provides two comprehensive programs designed to ensure that every student, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status, has access to the resources they need to succeed. The first of these programs is remote mentorship. This is online-oriented and tailored assistance for college and career planning, support for academic challenges and standardized test preparation, and guidance in building confidence for future opportunities. The second of these programs is in-person programming. This includes building college application lists tailored to student goals, effective resume formatting and enhancement, preparing for college interviews with mock sessions, and completing financial aid forms like FAFSA.

VAW Global Health Alliances develops community health systems while providing interns the opportunity to work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals. VAW Global Veterinary Interns work closely with community partners to implement veterinary clinics, as well as provide assistance to existing animal shelters, across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). In the Veterinary Outreach program, interns learn about healthcare in a global context. Through shadowing local veterinarians, interns will also learn about veterinary procedures, treatment courses, clinic operations, vaccinations, and deworming.

Interns will prepare for their trip throughout the year by attending team training sessions, participating in local community service projects, and developing team building activities, led by their Team Leader or Faculty Team Leader. Interns are required to attend trainings and workshops prior to their trip, so that they are well prepared upon arrival in country.

This is an intensive internship — valuable to future veterinarians, veterinary assistants, veterinary technicians, as well as other future healthcare providers, global practitioners, and anyone interested in gaining skills in public health while supporting healthcare systems around the world.

UIUC YDSA shall organize campus and community rallies, host talks on a variety of political, social and economic topics, engage in community service, and facilitate grassroots organization in support of just and equitable society. Within and throughout this struggle, we will articulate and defend the idea that true human liberation is impossible under capitalism. We seek social change which extends democracy into all aspects of life—social, political and economic. This is the struggle for democratic socialism. Our
vision of socialism is profoundly democratic, feminist, and anti‐racist.

Mission
The primary purpose of the fraternity shall be to aid and encourage its student members
to achieve that development of character, intellect, and leadership, and that capacity for human
relationships which are commensurate with the highest aims and purpose of university education
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and, generally, the fraternity shall form a
lifelong bond of brotherhood, as devoted to the fulfillment of the ideals expressed in the ritual
and to the fellowship of its members.
