About Us
The Momentum Dance Collective serves as the pre-professional, audition-based dance organization at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. MDC provides a platform for dancers to refine their technique, explore multiple styles including contemporary, jazz, musical theater, and hip hop, and present high-quality performances for the campus community. The organization’s mission is to celebrate school spirit and artistic expression by performing at athletic events, student showcases, and two self-produced shows each academic year, while also pursuing opportunities for adjudicated performances, master workshops, guest choreography or competitions as resources allow.
