The Grainger International Students Community offer three different types of events: our monthly International Coffee & Chai Hour, a World Showcase Series (4), and academic workshops & sessions. Each event type has a different focus and is organized to accommodate and welcome all students. First Thursday of the month

Join us the first Thursday of the month from 4:00pm-6:30pm at John Deere Pavilion (MEL 2005) for coffee/tea, pastries and interaction with students, staff and faculty from around the world.

GISC represents students from around the world. We want to learn more about you by exploring your country, culture and traditions. The World Showcase highlights a selected country, continent/region, or cultural group with a celebration that displays its customs, traditions, languages, religion, and more. There will be two world showcase series per semester/four a year. The series will be celebrated in the following: a cultural night, religious celebration, cooking demo, etc.
